Symfony news for last week

This week Fabien Potencier has announced that next after symfony 2 stable release (symfony 3 project name is “trinity”) is planned on early 2011. As it was mentioned symfony 3 is already available as alpha and will work only in Windows environment (so the main task for symfony team now is to learn from scratch .NET and fully migrate current code to new language). It was also mentioned that Jonathan Wage has already started to work on next Doctrine release which would support MSSQL. New symfony release is supposed to support all available plugins from original symfony 0.6 version.

Wait guys, don’t panic it was just April Fools’ joke 🙂

We also want to wish you happy Easter and all the best to you and your families!

Sincerely,
SymfonyLab Team
